BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 17. Industrial enterprises of Uzbekistan manufactured products worth 72.8 trillion soums ($6.3 billion) from January through February 2023 - an increase of 9.1 percent, compared to the same period in 2022 (66.7 trillion soums or $5.8 billion), Trend reports via Uzbekistan’s State Statistics Committee.

During the first two months of 2023, Uzbekistan produced cars (23,949), trucks (350), automobile engines (21,402), buses (114), tractors (7), lead batteries (190,800), refrigerators (65,200), etc.

The country’s industrial enterprises also produced some 1,536 tons of paints and polishes based on acrylic or vinyl polymers in an aqueous medium, some 890,600 tons of Portland cement, 110,700 tons of diesel fuel, etc.

Furthermore, from January through February 2023, Uzbekistan faced a decline in electricity output. Uzbekistan's enterprises produced some 12.6 billion kWh, which is a decrease of 2.1 percent, compared to the same period in 2022 (12.8 billion kWh).

In 2022, enterprises of Uzbekistan manufactured industrial products worth 551.1 trillion soums ($48.4 billion), which is 5.2 percent more than what was produced during the reporting period in 2021.
