The volume of Iran's industrial and mineral products increased over the first four months of this year, Industry Mine and Trade Mehdi Ghazanfari said, IRNA reported.
"Iran's steel production in the first four months of the current year increased by 16.4 percent while the production of ingot steel and aluminum increased 8 percent," he said.
Cement and tile production had a 20 and 24 percent growth, while other products increased by 12 percent.
According to the latest reports issued by World Steel Association, Iran produced 1.5 million tons of steel in June.
