According to the member of Iran's parliament from Yazd, Jalal Yahyazadeh, death toll in Ghadir Steel Plant has risen up to 8 people now, ILNA reported.
Fifteen more people are badly injured, and remain in critical condition. According to Yahyazadeh, some people among the dead were foreign citizens from India.
On Sunday, an explosion occured at the Ghadir Steel Plant in Yazd, central Iran, killing 7 people and injuring 12 more, IRNA news agency reported.
The manager and some officials of the factory were detained after the incident. The incident occurred at 19:15 hours on Sunday. Reportedly one of the furnaces at the factory blew up, however investigation is underway to reveal real causes of the explosion, Mehr reported.
