Bloody Attacks Protested in Turkey and the World

(Zaman) - Mass protests broke out across the world, including many cities in Turkey, against the Israeli attacks in Lebanon and Gaza.

After the Friday prayers, crowd from the Beyazit, Fatih and Baglicar neighborhoods in Istanbul protested Israels attack on Lebanon. Other demonstrations were organized in Kayseri, Malatya, Sivas, Van, and Kirikkale. Protestors chanted slogans against Israel and the US, reports Trend.

Nearly 350,000 protestors in Baghdad, mostly followers of the Shiite leader Muqtada al-Sadr, jammed the streets.

The Pakistani parliament passed a resolution to condemn Israels attacks on Lebanon and Palestine while Iranian demonstrators in Britain tore down a sign in front of the Tehran Embassy and stoned the building. There were protests in Bangladesh, the Philippines, Indonesia and several other Asian countries.
