Turkey seeks to export Iran's electricity to Bulgaria and Romania

TEHRAN, Iran, April 27. Turkey is eager to import Iran's electricity and export it to Romania and Bulgaria, said the head of energy commission in Iran Chamber of Commerce Arash Najafi, Trend reports citing ILNA.

"Several Turkish merchants have visited Iran and announced readiness to buy electricity and export it to Romania and Bulgaria," he said.

He pointed out that Iran's western neighbors including Iraq and Turkey are very demanding customers of Iran's electricity.

Turkey's membership in the Continental Europe Synchronous Area opens up new opportunities for Iran to export electricity.
