The purpose of the nuclear talks with the six world powers goes beyond the settlement of nuclear disputes, says Iran's President Hassan Rouhani.
"We were not intending to achieve a nuclear deal to settle only the nuclear disputes," the Iranian president said in Tehran addressing an international gathering on Iran's industrial and trade policies Oct. 10, IRINN TV reported.
Iranian president also said his country was holding the talks to establish a new atmosphere in the region and the world.
Rouhani's comments come at a time when Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has announced in various occasions that he agreed to talk with the US only about the nuclear case and Tehran-Washington talks will never go beyond the nuclear issue.
Earlier on July 14, Iran and the P5+1 (the US, Russia, China, France, the UK, and Germany) announced a final accord, under which the Islamic Republic will curb its nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of most international sanctions.
Furthermore, Rouhani noted that Iran has no problems with the presence of US entrepreneurs in the Islamic Republic.
He also touched upon his recent meeting with managers of American trade, economic and industrial enterprises in New York on the sidelines of the 70th Session of the UN General Assembly.
"I invited them to make investments in Iran once they can resolve their own internal barriers," he said.
"One of the US famous economic managers asked me to encourage the US government to remove obstacles ahead of their presence in Iran," Rouhani said, underlining that it is US administration which prevents the American investors' presence in the Islamic Republic.
Iran's president further said that Tehran would welcome all foreign entrepreneurs if they bring capital and technology into the country to target joint markets for exports.
The first international gathering on Iran's industrial and trade policies inaugurated on Oct. 10. The two-day event aims at promoting export and employment.
A number of foreign experts as well as Iranian industrialists and trade activists are attending the conference which is titled "High-level Symposium on Industrial and Trade Policies: Promoting Exports and Developing Employment."
