Iran's Minister of Industry talks steel production

Iran's foreign trade reached $ 75 billion last year despite sanctions, Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran said.

The country's industry and economy have not stopped, Alireza Razm Hosseini told reporters referring to the resistance economy plan of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade, Trend reports citing Tasnim News Agency.

“The government's scenario in the economic headquarters in the context of tightening sanctions was non-oil exports,” he said. “During the past three and a half years, the country managed to export $ 2.5 billion worth of steel products.”

He stated that 8 percent growth has been achieved in the field of industry.

He went on to say that every factory in the country is active 24/7 to supply the necessary raw materials, including the automotive, clothing, and ceramic industries.
