Georgia increases monthly salary

In the first quarter of 2019, the average monthly salary in Georgia increased by 33.5 lari compared to the corresponding period last year and amounted to 1,092 lari, Trend reports with reference to National Statistics Office of Georgia.

According to the statistical data, personnel employed in the financial and insurance sector have the highest salary, an average of 1,894 lari (an annual increase by 17.8 percent), followed by those working in the professional, scientific and technical spheres - 1,799 lari in average (an annual growth by 3.2 percent). The third highest sor, and finally, at a lower stage, follows the salary of Workers of employed in the field of information and communications occupy the third place with the average salary of 1,751 lari (an annual growth by 3.9 percent).

As reported, the average salary of women (876 lari) in the first quarter of 2019 was lower than the average salary of men (1,294 lari) by 418 lari.
