Georgia, Tbilisi, Dec 12 / Trend Kirtzkhalia /

"Allocating American missile defense system in Georgia will threaten the county danger from Iran," Georgian Ex-President Eduard Shevardnadze told Asaval-Dasavali weekly.

The government authorities have repeatedly states that they are ready to allocate American MD system in the country. This question is not under negotiations, but a number of Georgian experts assert that the allocation of this system is quite real.

Although Shevardnadze does not expect Iran to use nuclear weapon against Georgia, the MD allocation can complicate the situation. "Placing missile defense system in Georgia will involve the country in tragic processes," he said.

Shevardnadze noted that he would never permit American MD allocation neither in Georgia, nor in other Black Sea country if it would depend on him
