EU will provide 5 million euro to support the police cooperation in countries of the "Eastern Partnership". The decision by the European Commission approved on Sunday, Georgian office of the EU Delegation told Trend.
According to the decision, in particular, the program of support for police cooperation, aimed primarily at combating cross-border crime between countries of "Eastern Partnership", and between the same countries and the EU.
The program lasts for 4 years and will provide for training, exchange of best practices, exchange programs for the police, educational visits.
"Eastern Partnership" - the EU program aimed at strengthening cooperation with six countries - the EU's eastern neighbors: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
