Georgian State Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Aleksi Petriashvili held meetings in the European Parliament and the European Commission.
As part of his working visit to Brussels, Petriashvili met with the EU Regional Policy Commissioner Johannes Hahn, as well as chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament Elmar Brok, the minister's office said.
"The European Parliament is ready to ratify the association agreement between Georgia and the EU by late 2014, namely, in early December," Petriashvili was quoted as saying.
During the meeting the sides discussed the prospects of Georgia's integration into Europe, said the statement.
Moreover, Petriashvili stressed the importance of establishing a visa-free regime with the EU countries for the Georgian citizens.
