Tribal insurgents have blown up part of a major pipeline in central Yemen, state news agency SABA reported Sunday, dpa reported.
The attack disrupted the flow of the crude oil to an export facility along the 400-kilometre pipeline in Mareb province, the agency said, citing a government official.
The assault, mounted late Saturday, was the second against the pipeline in 10 days, the official said.
Oil pipelines are often attacked by Yemen's tribesmen as a means of putting pressure on the central government to meet demands such as the release of detained relatives.
