( dpa )- Jordan's government on Saturday condemned an Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip as a "flagrant violation" of international law and urged the international community to intervene.
More than 60 Palestinians have been killed since Wednesday.
Nasser Judeh, the Minister of State for Information Affairs and Communication, warned that the ongoing Israeli operations in the Gaza Strip would impede peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians.
"A just and comprehensive peace rather than violence destruction and siege will only ensure genuine security for Israel," he said.
