Michigan authorities have charged an unemployed Indian-American computer programmer with murdering his wife and two children and say he's fled the United States, the Associated Press reported.
Police say 42-year-old Lakshminivasa Rao Nerusu killed 37-year-old wife Jayalakshmi Nerusu, 14-year-old daughter Tejasvi Nerusu and 12-year-old son Siva Kumar Nerusu.
Police found them bludgeoned to death Oct. 27 at their home in the Detroit suburb.
Warrants issued Monday charge Nerusu with three counts of first-degree murder. Conviction carries an automatic penalty of life in prison without parole.
Police tell the Detroit Free Press and The Detroit News that international agencies are aiding the search.
