Director Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland was the top film in the United States for a second weekend in a row, according to sales estimates released Sunday.
Alice, which stars Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, brought in 62 million dollars in ticket sales for Walt Disney Co, making a total of 208.6 million dollars in the first two weeks of its release, dpa reported.
Iraq war movie Green Zone, starring Matt Damon, opened in second place and earned a disappointing 14.5 million dollars for NBC Universal.
In third place was She's Out of My League (9.6 million dollars), followed by Robert Pattinson-starrer Remember Me (8.28 million). Teen heart-throb Pattinson last appeared on the big screen in the Twilight series.
Shutter Island was in fifth place (8.14 million dollars), while Our Family Wedding - with America Ferrera and Forest Whitaker and about a wedding uniting black and Hispanic families - took in 7.6 million dollars in ticket sales.
Avatar, the highest-grossing film of all time, was in seventh place with 6.6 million dollars.
