Seven civilians were killed by a roadside bomb in eastern Afghanistan on Monday, the Interior Ministry said, dpa reported.
The victims were riding in a truck to collect firewood in the eastern province of Laghman, the ministry said.
"As a result, seven civilians were killed including five women and two other civilians were wounded," it said.
The ministry blamed Taliban insurgents, who rely on roadside bombs against Afghan and NATO-led troops.
The rebels were not immediately available to comment.
