An earthquake of magnitude 6.0 struck off the Kermadec Islands, the European Mediterranean Seismological Center said Dec. 4.
The epicenter of the quake was located 670 kilometers northeast of the city Whakatane (New Zealand). The seismic center was located at a depth of 60 kilometers.
There have been no reports about victims or possible damages.
