20:37 (GMT +4) So far, according to preliminary information, three people have been saved from the rubble of the collapsed residential building in Istanbul, Trend reports via Turkish media.
Also reports noted that one person was found dead by the rescuers.
19:58 (GMT +4) Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya stated that the top three floors of the residential building were illegally constructed, Trend reports via Turkish media.
Yerlikaya also said that 43 people were registered in the building.
19:14 (GMT +4) Reports note that the collapse of the residential building was preceded by an explosion, the cause of which was gas leakage.
There was a tailoring shop on the first floor of the building, where 20 people worked, Turkish media reported.
So far, two people have been saved from the rubble.
18:20 (GMT +4) There are 12 families under the rubble of the collapsed building in Istanbul. According to preliminary reports, it was a new building.
One person died as a result of the collapse, while one was saved.
The causes of the incident are not reported.
17:32 (GMT +4) A six-story residential building collapsed in Istanbul, Trend reports via Turkish media.
Reports noted that there are people left under the rubble. Teams of firefighters and rescuers arrived at the scene.
Presently, the number of people stuck under the rubble is unknown.
So far, one person has been saved from under the rubble.
