Ukrainian investors interested in increasing investments in Turkey

Ukrainian investors are interested in increasing investments in the Turkish economy, the Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TOBB) told Trend on Oct. 24.

Sixteen companies with Ukrainian capital were registered in Turkey from January through September 2019, which is four companies more than in the same period of last year.

The total capital of Ukrainian companies registered in Turkey amounted to over 33.4 million Turkish liras ($19.6 million) from January through September 2019, while this figure reached over 5.09 million Turkish liras ($2.9 million) in the same period of 2018.

Most of Ukrainian companies were registered in Istanbul (33) with a total capital of over 29.3 million Turkish liras ($17.2 million) from January through September 2019.

"During the reporting period, seven companies with Ukrainian capital worth 540,000 liras ($317,647) were registered in Turkey’s Antalya province," TOBB said.

Two mining companies, two industrial companies, one construction companies, 29 wholesale and retail trade companies, two travel companies and two financial companies and insurance companies with Ukrainian capital were registered in Turkey from January through September 2019.

"The remaining companies with Ukrainian capital are involved in other sectors of the economy," the TOBB said.

The total capital of 29 wholesale and retail trade companies registered during the reporting period amounted to over 1.9 million liras ($1.1 million).
