Turkey sees growth in number of registered Iranian companies for 9M2021

The number of companies with Iranian capital registered in Turkey from January through September 2021 grew, Trend reports on Oct.26 via the Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TOBB).

According to TOBB, this indicator reached 629, up by 127 on annual basis.

The overall capital of the mentioned companies registered in Turkey in the first nine months of this year exceeded 199.3 million Turkish liras ($21 million), while over the same period of 2020 this figure amounted to 99 million Turkish liras ($10.4 million).

The largest number of companies with Iranian capital was registered in Istanbul – 565. Their total capital amounted to 112.3 million Turkish liras ($11.8 million).

Of the total number of registered companies, 243 are engaged in wholesale and retail trade, 77 companies in the sale of real estate, 46 - in the industrial sector, 40 - in the tourism sector, 23 - in the field of transport and logistics, 20 - in construction, and two - in the field of agriculture.

"The remaining companies with Iranian capital are involved in other sectors of the economy," TOBB said.

The total capital of 243 registered Iranian companies engaged in the wholesale and retail trade from January through September 2021 amounted to over 58.5 million Turkish liras ($6.1 million).
