BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 16. The Turkish Port of Bandirma handled 4.19 million tons of cargo from January through October 2022, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye told TurkicWorld, Trend reports on November 16.
According to the ministry, 339,078 tons of the cargo were transported by ships flying the Turkish flag through the Port of Bandirma, and over 3.85 million tons by ships flying the flags of other countries.
In the first 10 months of this year, Bandirma port handled 42,010 tons of transit cargo, the ministry said.
Turkish ports totally handled 330.8 million tons of cargo during the specified period.
Ships under the Turkish flag transferred 23.76 million tons of cargo, whereas ships under the flags of other countries – 307.04 million tons.
Moreover, during this period, Turkish ports transshipped 66.99 million tons of transit cargo.
