BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 13. The export of leather goods from Türkiye to the Iran from January through March 2024 decreased by 12.1 percent compared to the same month in 2023, totaling $663 thousand, the data of Türkiye's Trade Ministry said, Trend reports.
"Türkiye exported $115.8 thousand worth of leather goods to the Iran in March 2024, down 50.5 percent compared to the same period last year," the ministry says.
Meanwhile, Türkiye's exports of leather products to global markets from January through March 2024 dropped 28 percent to $409.6 million compared to the same month in 2023.
However, Türkiye exported $146.2 million worth of leather products in March this year, which was 33.4 percent less than in March last year.
To note, Türkiye exported leather products worth $1.7 billion in the last 12 months (from March 2023 through March 2024).
