A delegation of the Azerbaijani parliament headed by Speaker Oktay Asadov will participate in the CIS Parliamentary Assembly's 36th session, the parliament said.
The results of the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan and Moldova the presidential elections in Belarus and Kazakhstan will be discussed at the meeting in St. Petersburg.
Chairman of the Committee on Regional Affairs of the Azerbaijani Parliament Arif Rahimzade, MPs Elton Mammadov, Rufat Guliyev, and Adil Aliyev, and Chairman of the Parliamentary Apparatus Sefa Mirzayev are included in the delegation.
The meetings are planned to be held with chairmen of the Azerbaijani Parliament and the heads of the delegations participating in the meeting.
Azerbaijani MPs will also participate in the international scientific conference on the 65th anniversary of the Nuremberg process and the IV Nevsky Environmental Congress.
Azerbaijani MPs plan to take part in the meetings of the CIS parliamentary assembly's various committees, spokesman for the Azerbaijani parliament Akif Tavekkuloglu told media.
He said that the committees will consider the issues of further strengthening the inter-parliamentary relations of the CIS countries.
