A delegation headed by Azerbaijani Parliamentary Speaker Ogtay Asadov will leave the country for S. Petersburg on Nov.9 to attend a meeting of the Council of CIS Interparliamentary Assembly (CIS IPA), Azerbaijani Parliament spokesman Akif Nasirov said at today's briefing.
He said the delegation includes MPs Rasim Musabekov, Rufat Guliyev, head of the Azerbaijani Parliamentary Administration Safa Mirzoyev and other officials.
The meeting will mull the organizational issues, results of the IPA CIS observation mission for the presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan, as well as results of the Environmental Congress "Neva" and workshops on "Democratic and electoral rights of citizens", "CIS: Achievements, Challenges and Prospects" other topics.
Mr. Asadov will hold meetings with Speaker of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Vladimir Litvin and other official, and mull prospects of the bilateral parliamentary relations.
