Iran exported over 2 million dollars worth of goods to neighboring Afghanistan in the first 8 months of the current Iranian calendar year, which began March 20, 2012.
The amount is 576 million dollars more than the same period of time the previous year, which marks a 38 percent rise, the IRIB News Agency reported.
Iran's exports to Afghanistan in the mentioned time span also faced 10 a percent increase in terms of volume.
On the other hand, Iran imported 1.1 billion dollars worth of good from Afghanistan in the 8-month period.
