President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov made a number of appointments within the government, the official Turkmen source said on Wednesday.
Particularly, a decree on the appointment of two Vice-Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers (Deputy Prime Ministers) Rozymyrat Seyitkulyev and Nokerguly Atagulyev was signed.
According to the national legislation the government is headed by the President.
Berdymuhamedov was re-elected to this post on February 12. The government must be formed within a month after taking the office of the President in accordance with the Constitution.
According to another decree signed on Wednesday, Bayar Abayev was appointed Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, Babayev Aynabat as Minister of textile industry; Ogulhadzhat Ishangulyev as State Minister - Chairman of the Joint Stock Corporation Turkmenhaly (Turkmen carpet); Shaberdi Meredov as chairman of Commodity Exchange, Batyr Atdaev as Chairman of the supreme Chamber of Control; Batyr Halliyev as head of Committee on Hydrometeorology under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
