The Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has started his visit to Iraq, Iranian State IRINN TV reported.
Zarif is due to hold talks with Iraqi officials, including Foreign Minister Hoshiyar Zeybari, Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, Vice President Khodair al-Khozaei, Parliament Speaker Usama al-Nujayfi during his visit.
Bilateral relations, regional and global developments will be discussed during the visit.
Iranian media outlets informed that the possible US attack on the Syria and Iran's nuclear issue will be also the topics Zarif will trade ideas about with the Iraqi officials.
Iraq is Zarif's first foreign visit since taking office last month.
