By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend: A railway accident occurred in the West of Georgia, the Emergency Management Department of Georgia's Interior Ministry said that two trains carrying oil jumped the tracks near Marani village (Imereti region).
The oil was spilled along the railway and a fire occurred.
Experts and rescuers were mobilized. Movement on the railway was suspended for a few hours; however, it has already been resumed.
The oil composition and the damage caused to the environment is still being determined. According to department representatives, the damage was minimal since only a small amount of oil leaked.
