Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend A.Ismayilova /The OSCE Chairman-in-Office and Spanish Foreign Minister, Miguel Angel Moratinos, stated at a news conference in Baku on 4 June that that a positive milestone has been reached to resolve the [Armenian-Azerbaijani] Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and both sides have never been so close as they are now to resolving the conflict.

The OSCE Minsk Group is involved in the peaceful resolution of this continued conflict.

Moratinos noted that the OSCE expressed its desire that the conflict would be settled, taking into consideration the interests of both sides. He voiced his hope to witness the same determination in Yerevan on 5 June, which he had in Azerbaijan for the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The OSCE chairman-in-office noted that many sides, including the OSCE and international community, are interested in resolving the conflict. "OSCE will try to take a definite step in this direction during the forthcoming meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents in St. Petersburg on 10 June. However, the final resolution will depend upon both of the conflicting sides," Moratinos stressed.
