All crew members of the "Azerbaijan Airlines" cargo aircraft were killed. The aircraft crashed outside the Aksa village on Tuesday in the Parwan province, told Trend Governor of Siyahgerd town in Parwan province Abdulhalim Mojaddadi.

He said the cargo aircraft of the Azerbaijani cargo airline Silk Way crashed into a mountain not far from the Aksa village at 11:00 pm [local time].

Mojaddadi denies information of Taliban's shooting down the aircraft.

He added that a special group consisting of police officers and local authorities has already begun investigating this case.

A cargo aircraft IL-76 4K-AZ 55 of the Azerbaijani cargo airline Silk Way crashed at 2:10 a.m. [Baku time] on Tuesday in the Afghan province of Parwan, north of Kabul. The plane crashed on the mountain at an elevation of 12,500 feet (3,800 meters).

The Azerbaijani Civil Aviation Administration confirmed the crash.

A source in AZAL reported that the crew included two Azerbaijani and six Uzbek citizens.

Preliminary reports stated that eight crew members were on board, a representative of the Afghan National Airlines Areana said.
