Floods damage over 80 villages in four Iranian provinces

Floods caused by heavy rains in Iran have caused damage to more than 80 villages and 15 towns in the provinces of Sistan and Baluchestan, Kerman, Fars and Gormuzgan, a representative of Iran’s Red Crescent Society Hussein Derahshan said, Fars News reported on Wednesday.

Floods caused by heavy rains in Iran have damaged more than 80 villages and 15 towns in the provinces of Sistan and Baluchestan, Kerman, Fars and Gormuzgan, a representative of Iran's Red Crescent Society Hussein Derahshan said, Fars News reported on Wednesday.

According to Derahshan, 40 teams have been involved in rescue operations in these provinces.

Derahshan noted that one boy was killed as a result of flooding in Khash in the province of Sistan and Baluchestan and one girl in the city of Bam.

The floods have damaged homes, power lines, agriculture and road infrastructure.
