The Georgian National Commission for Communication Regulation (GNCCR) has fined Russian TV channels 50,000 lari each.

The GNCCR reported that Russian TV channels REN TV, NTV, TV-Center, Russia and Culture are being illegally broadcasted in Georgia's occupied territories, so they were fined 50,000 lari each.

Under Paragraph 4 of Article 1441 of the Georgian General Administrative Code, illegal business activities in Georgia's occupied territories call for a 50,000 lari fine, and 500,000 lari in cases of continued illegal activities.
