Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Tina Kaidanow arrived in Georgia. Today she will hold meetings with Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze, Georgian Foreign Ministry told Trend.
During the visit, which will last several days, Kaidanow will hold a number of meetings with representatives of the Georgian authorities, as well as political parties, including opposition parties.
Kaidanow will get acquainted with the course of the campaign in Georgia on the eve of local elections May 30.
Also during Kaidanow's meetings discussions were held on Georgian-Russian relations, as well as issue of deepening cooperation between Georgia and the U.S. within strategic charter.
