Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili visited Kutaisi to examine construction of the second parliamentary building and called it "construction of a new political geography."
"It is very important that the Parliament has moved from Tbilisi. It is necessary for the development of the country. We will cover the entire country due to the development of the regions. We are taking an important springboard for the development of the Black Sea coast, and, especially, in the direction of Abkhazia. This is a revolution in the balance of power that left the Georgian resolution in isolation for several years," he said.
The modern parliamentary building in Kutaisi is built by Spanish architects.
