U.S. Ambassador to Georgia John Bass does not agree that the reset policy between the U.S. and Russia has reached an impasse.
He said the reset policy has always been based on areas where Russia and America have shared common interests.
Over the last ten years, both countries have had some progress in this area, but the reset does not harm the U.S. interests.
"The reset does not harm our interests and principles," the ambassador said. "A vivid example of this is our relations with Georgia. The U.S. supports Georgia's right to choose its own future."
