Bidzina Ivanishvili intends to start consultations to create a powerful political force jointly with the Republican Party and "Free Democrats", one of the leaders of the Republican Party David Berdzenishvili told Trend on Wednesday after a meeting in Tbilisi with the billionaire who decided to go into politics.
A meeting of Berdzenishvili and another leader of the Republicans Paata Zakareishvili was initiated on the initiative of the billionaire in his residence in Tbilisi.
Berdzenishvili said party leader David Usupashvili, who is abroad, failed to attend the meeting.
He said the meeting stressed that if an agreement is reached between the Republicans, "Free Democrats" and Bidzina Ivanishvili, the decision to invite additional political groups will be made jointly.
Last week Ivanishvili voiced his intention to create a party and take part in the parliamentary elections in Georgia in 2012.
