BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 14. In the future, Azerbaijan will export not only natural gas, but also green energy to Europe, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said at a joint press conference with Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Olaf Scholz in Berlin, Trend reports.
Azerbaijan has a very large renewable energy potential. The wind energy potential of the Caspian Sea alone is equal to 157 gigawatts.
Emphasizing that several contracts had already been signed, President Ilham Aliyev said: "I am sure that Azerbaijan will export not only natural gas, but also green energy to Europe in the future".
