First, a sponsor group should be created for realizing the project for transportation of Kazakh oil through Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, the minister of industry and energy of Azerbaijan Natig Aliyev told, Trend reports.
A desire already exists for this, the minister told. At the moment, it needs to sign a transit agreement between Kazakhstan and sponsor group.
According to the minister, the Kazakh side needs approximately $3 billion to create the corridor of Aktau-Baku, through which Kazakh oil will be transported.
Touching on the security of the pipeline, the minister stressed that the information on the corrosion of the pipeline doesnt correspond with the reality. The security of the pipeline has been fully provided. Each country has undertaken obligations to prevent damages and sabotages in its territory.
