Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr K. Zarbaliyeva / The arrest of the former head of Baku Airport's Security Service, Emin Suleymanov, is not related with human and drug trafficking, Suleymanov's attorney, Rza Ibadov, said to Trend on 12 September.
Ibadov denied a connection between Suleymanov's arrest and the detention of mother and sister of Azerbaijani singer Ragsana who is accused of human trafficking.
The attorney who stated that the investigation was confidential did not divulge the reason for Suleymanov's arrest. According to him, official information on the results of the investigation would be revealed in due course.
According to unofficial reports, several employees at the Airport's Security Service were arrested together with Suleymanov. They are being held at the Investigation Cell of the Azerbaijan National Security Ministry.
