Criminal Group Accused of Thieving Motor Spare Parts Sentenced

Azerbaijan, Baku, 23 September/ Trend , corr. K.Zarbaliyeva / Members of the group, accused in theft and sale of motor spare parts, have been sentenced in Baku.

The trial, run by the court on grave crimes under the chairmanship of judge Shakyar Mamedova, sentenced the head of the group Mirabbas Jalilov to 8 years in imprisonment, Ahmed Ilyasov to 4 years, Fariz Nabiyev and Yusif Nabiyev to three years.

Before last December the convicted people robed 20 motor cars in the capital and stole their spare parts.

The criminal case regarding members of the group was instituted in accordance with Article 177 (theft), 181 (robbery) and 185 (illegal occupancy of motor car or other transport mean without the aim of theft) of the Criminal Code.

Head of the group Jalilov was convicted before for illegal preservation of drugs.

Other three members of the group are teenagers.
