Dormitory building put into use at Azerbaijani prison

A dormitory building for prisoners was put into use in Azerbaijan in the prison No 6.

Chief of the Penal Service, Deputy Minister of Justice Nazim Alekberov visited the newly repaired dormitory building with 200 places, the press center of Penal Service of the Ministry of Justice told Trend .

The building contains modern bedrooms, sanitary facilities, room for storage of personal things, as well as a special corner of wall newspapers and media.

The Deputy Minister looked at the canteen, rooms for prayers and meetings, talked with the prisoners and their parents.

Head of the Penal Service checked up the work of the computer center, organized through the joint action plan of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Penal Service.

Head of the prison Elman Alishir, who described the activities of the center, said that the computer courses assume particular importance to improve prisons and ensure their rapid integration into the society in future.

On this day seven convicts, who completed courses, were issued certificates.
