The Iranian Parliament will held discussions on 10 candidates nominated by the Iranian President on the second day of deliberation on the new staff of the Cabinet of Ministers, Iranian Mehr news agency reported.

Today [Aug. 31] 196 members of the parliament will discuss the nominations for the posts of ministers of education, communications, security, economy, foreign affairs, trade, health, agriculture and cooperatives.

Recently, the Iranian parliament launched discussing the new staff of the government. The supreme legislative body of the country should consider the list of nominees proposed by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad last week, RIA Novosti reported with reference to the France-Press.

Ahmadinejad publicized the program of the new government during the yesterday's [Aug.30] parliamentary meeting.

The Iranian parliamentarians are expected to make a decision on Sep.1.

The strong resistance took place in Tehran after the Iranian presidential elections on June 12, 2009. During the presidential elections in Iran on June 12, the current President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad gained 66 percent of votes. His main rival, Mir Hussein Mousavi accused the government of falsifying the results of voting. The people dissatisfied with the results of the elections caused clashes between police and opposition supporters. Clashes killed 27 people and about 1,032 people were arrested.

A partial recount of the elections, conducted by the Supervisory Board of Iran, did not affect the final results of presidential elections - Ahmedinejad won the elections.
