A trial over individuals accused of committing armed attacks in Azerbaijan has begun.
Prosecutor read out on Absheron region residents Parvin Hashimov and İlham Askerov's criminal case at the Serious Crimes Court.
The prosecutor demanded to sentence each of the accused to imprisonment for a term of 14 years.
The Court will pass a sentence March 29.
The defendants entered the conspiracy and decided to rob Jumshud Huseynov, working in a currency exchange point in the shopping center Karvan.
Committing an armed attack on Huseynov they took away a bag belonging to him, which included cash of 39,364 manat, and jewels worth 16, 922 manat Feb.18, 2008.
Besides, the defendants had committed several armed attacks in the city of Sumgait. Hashimov and Askerov were arrested as a result of operational search activities of Sumgayit City Police Department's employees Feb. 20, 2009.
