Representation of the Public Union "Irali" in Germany held an evening of the Azerbaijani culture in Leipzig.
Within the 16th International Student Week (June 21-26) an evening of culture "Azerbaijan - Land of Fire" was held with the support of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Germany, the Coordination Centre of Azerbaijanis in Germany, the University of Leipzig and the Azerbaijani students studying in Leipzig, the Public Union said.
Addressing at the opening event the first secretary of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Germany Fikret Akhundov spoke about history of education of the Azerbaijani Republic, on the passed way of development of Azerbaijan-Germany relations. The representative of the Embassy touched upon the Nagorno-Karabakh issue in his introductory speech. The participants received books and videos about the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict.
The guests of the evening were presented traditional dishes of the Azerbaijan cuisine - plov, dolma, dovga, shekerbura, baklava and more.
