Azerbaijan has eliminated the contradictions in the legislation on copyright
The Azerbaijani government has made changes to the decision on applying the law "On Copyright and Related Rights", the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
Based on the amendments, the sentence "This certificate is not a presumption of authorship" was removed from the Art. 8.5.
The Cabinet amended the article to eliminate the contradictions: as "in case of a dispute in the absence of other evidence, the registration certificate is recognized by the court as a presumption of authorship," the Azerbaijani Copyright Agency told Trend.
Based on the amendments, the "folk art" phrase in the Art.6.1 "Rules of calculation and payment of royalties and use of degrees of royalties for the mass performance of literature and art works " replaced with "samples of folklore" (traditional patterns of culture) phrase.
