The Azerbaijani State Migration Service deported 705 foreigners illegally residing in the country in April.
The Migration Service employees have carried out relevant activities to identify and prevent illegal migration, cases of violation of the rules of temporary and permanent residence of foreigners and stateless persons in Azerbaijan, the State Migration Service told Trend.
As a result of the measures taken in April, 887 foreign nationals were found violating the requirements of administrative law.
The decision was made to deport 563 foreigners within 48 hours and to administratively expel 142 foreigners based on state legislation, the service reported.
About 46 foreigners, under 16 years of age, were brought to administrative responsibility.
Through fines, the residence of 182 people was legalized.
Last month, the service received 4,474 appeals from the foreigners and stateless persons in connection with the extension of stay in the country, issuance of a permit for permanent and temporary accommodation, admission to citizenship, restoring and denial of citizenship, as well as the definition of citizenship and refugee status, issuance and extension of individual work permit.
According to the report, the service has reviewed each complaint in accordance with the laws of the country and made the appropriate decision.
