PARIS, France, July 29. Azerbaijani judoka Khidayat Heydarov (73 kg) has faced Canadian Arthur Margelidon in the 1/4 finals at the Summer Olympics in Paris, Trend reports.
Heydarov won a place in the semifinals having defeated the Canadian athlete.

Azerbaijani judoka Hidayat Heydarov has kicked off the Summer Olympics in Paris with a bang, Trend reports.
The athlete, going head-to-head in the 73 kg weight category, crossed paths with Israel's Tohar Butbul in the round of 1/8 finals.
Thanks to a penalty shootout victory, Heydarov advanced to the 1/4 finals.
To note, the Olympics will come to a close on August 11.
