The Ombudsman of Azerbaijan, Elmira Suleymanova, exclusively informed Trend that on March 9, 2007 she will present report on the activities over 2006 at the Parliament of Azerbaijan. According to her, it will be fourth report since the Commissioner of Human Rights on Azerbaijan has been created. As a rule, the annual report of Ombudsman is presented to the President of Azerbaijan at the end of February and heard at the Parliament in March.
The present report of the Azerbaijani Ombudsman includes assessment of the situation with human rights, results of the monitoring held by the Ombudsman Institutions in co-operation with the State bodies, NGOs and media.
