BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 15. The volume of accounts receivable in the state budget of Azerbaijan decreased from January through July 2022, Trend reports via report of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan
According to the report, accounts receivable are estimated at 2.1 billion manat ($1.2 billion) as of July 30 2022, which is 683 million manat ($401 million), or 24.2 percent less than at the end of 2021.
"This amount does not include debts on projects carried out at the expense of loans attracted from abroad, as well as debts incurred from deductions from the state budget to other budgets. A number of accounts receivable formed in previous years were closed from January through July 2022," the Azerbaijani Chamber of Accounts states.
The Chamber of Accounts has previously stated that the growth of such debts is a risk to the budget, as well as the need to strengthen administration in this direction.
