BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 18. Azerbaijan will participate in the Global Muslim Business Forum (GMBF), which will be held on November 28-30 this year in Malaysia, Acting Director of the Events Department of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (ICCIA) Aya Mahrous said, Trend reports.
Mahrous made the remark at the 35th meeting of the Board of Directors of the ICCIA in Baku.
"The forum themed 'Innovation and Transformation in the Islamic Economy' will provide an opportunity to explore best practices in various fields such as Islamic finance, green technology and agriculture," she stressed.
The 35th meeting of the Board of Directors of the ICCIA began its work in Baku on July 17.
About 100 delegations from 20 member countries are represented at the meeting. Expanded delegations and entrepreneurs from a number of countries, including Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan and Egypt, will take part in panels on various topics, presentations of the economic potential of the countries and meetings in the B2B format in Baku for two days, will also visit several large agricultural enterprises and sign a number of documents on cooperation.
